Strength training. Automatically recorded.

LiftSense uses computer vision to capture reps, sets, and barbell load on the gym equipment you already have. No wearables, no manual logging.

The problem

Most lifting goes unrecorded

Logging every set by hand is tedious, so most gym-goers don't track their lifts at all. The tools that exist weren't built for the barbell.

Lifters

Manual logging apps interrupt the workout. Miscounted reps and forgotten weights mean lost progress.

Coaches

No one can watch every rep for every athlete. Technique and range of motion go unmeasured.

Gyms

Fitness wearables focus on steps, heart rate, and sleep. Owners have little insight into how strength equipment is used.

The solution

Your squat rack, now a source of training data

A fixed camera and on-site computer watch the lift. LiftSense recognizes the plates on the bar, works out the load, counts reps and sets, and tracks bar path and squat depth.

Capture

A rack-mounted camera records the lift without getting in the way of lifting or spotting.

Analyze

On-site processing detects the bar, plates, reps, and movement in real time.

Review

Lifters see sets, reps, and volume at the rack. Coaches and gym operators review progress on a dashboard.

Who it's for

Built for the people on the gym floor

Coaches

Objective performance and technique data across every athlete, without stopping to write anything down.

Lifters

A training history built automatically. No wearable to buy, no app to type into.

Gyms

A data-enabled training experience that sets your facility apart, on equipment you already own.

Privacy by design

Trust comes first

A camera in a gym has to earn its place. LiftSense is designed so members stay in control.

  • Opt-in participation. Members choose whether to take part.
  • Processed on-site. Video is analyzed locally and deleted after analysis.
  • Never sold. Training data is used only to deliver and improve the service.
  • Non-intrusive. Mounting never interferes with lifting or spotting.
Where we are

Now in alpha development

We're starting with the squat rack, then expanding to bench press and other strength stations. We're preparing a controlled pilot in a partner gym in Colorado.

Now

Squat rack

Plate and load recognition, rep and set detection, bar path, and depth.

Next

Bench press

A second movement pattern, including bar-to-chest contact and spotter occlusion.

Then

More stations

Additional strength equipment, chosen from pilot gym usage data.

Team
